"Foul play!", calls a fish-eagle. "You frightful fiend!", fuss the finches.
Zettelwitz has ruffled a few feathers by transforming Iris in front of her family and friends.
He is suddenly surrounded by all sorts of fowls, flapping and fluttering everywhere!
"You want to fight?", they screech. "We'll fix you!"
They fly all around his head and fetch him so many thumps with their wings that the feathers fly.
Kalinko calls his dogs: "Filou, Franzi, Wellington! We've found him!"
The dogs all fall on the wizard: woof, woof, woof!
Kalinko knocks his foe to the ground with a fist.
But Zettelwitz picks himself up and flees. In his flight he fiddles with his magic wand and fusses under his breath.
A fence of flickering flames flares up to stop anyone from following him. The wind fans the flames, and they set the birdhouse alight! Befuddled, the animals can only watch as it turns into a fiery furnace.
"Confound it! Fetch some water!", shouts the king, running past with a fire-hose. The animals all follow his example. They finally manage to stifle the fire with a flood of water. Only a few flames are still flickering.
"If I fantasize a little, I can see an F here", thinks the fanatical wizard.
