"Do take a seat on the couch", cajoles Carola, Julia's mother.
She fetches a bottle of champagne from the kitchen and asks the cook to prepare another cordon bleu dish for dinner.
The champagne cheers everyone up considerably.
Zettelwitz combs the room with his calculating look. There is a Chinese vase on the coffee table with chrysanthemums in it.
That's curious! There's a tail like a little curlicue moving in there!
"Do you have any other pets from Africa?" Zettelwitz asks. "Oh yes", says Julia with a laugh. "Our Carlo!
Can you see the chameleon on the chrysanthemum? He catches flies there sometimes."
